Course Content

3.1: The Renaissance Architect
Lesson 3.2 Summary: Scaling the Village (Ecosystem Mastery) The Objective To solve the "Growth Paradox." In the Western machine, growth usually means more bureaucracy, more layers, and less speed. In the Uujima Guide, we learn to scale by replication, not complication. We want to grow the organisation into an ecosystem of high-trust "Villages" that remain connected but autonomous. Key Themes Fractal Agility: Ensuring that the same principles of the small team (The Village) are mirrored at the department and company levels. The Interlocking Weave: How to manage dependencies between different "Villages" without creating a bottleneck at the top. Shared Infrastructure: Creating a "Common Ground" where all teams share resources and wisdom while maintaining their unique identity. The Critical Shift From: A massive, slow-moving "Titanic" that requires one captain to make every turn. To: A "Fleet of Canoes"—fast, coordinated, and able to navigate narrow and wide waters alike. The Ritual: The Ecosystem Map Students will draw their organisational "Ecosystem." They must identify where the "city walls" (silos) are currently blocking communication between villages and propose one "Trading Path" (a cross-functional connection) to open the flow.
